Water Storage Containers

Food-grade containers for holding treated water at home. Sized from a few gallons that one person can lift to drums that stay where they are filled.

Specifications are manufacturer-published figures compiled in August 2026. We have not independently tested this equipment. A dash means the figure could not be confirmed with the manufacturer.

Choose by brand

5 brands make water storage containers. Each brand page lists only that brand's models.

Every model compared

Water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, which is what makes container size a handling decision rather than only a capacity one — a filled 7-gallon container is around 58 lb, and a 55-gallon drum cannot be moved once full.
